On August 8th 2025, Head Instructor Laurent Mougeot traveled to Golden Lake, ON with Instructor Jan Kalinowski and delivered a self-defense workshop for the women of the Algonquins of Pikwanagan First Nation.
Indigenous women are at increased risk of violence, as was made clear by the National Inquiry on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG).
The seminar was received with great enthusiasm and high energy by everyone and was a complete success. We will be back!
