Tessa has been passionate about Krav Maga since her first class in 2020. She found Krav Maga through a childhood friend who suggested they try a session of the kids class together. That friend eventually left, but Tessa chose to stay. In September 2024, she aged out of the Kids program and made the difficult transition to the Adult Advanced program by herself. Over the years, she has trained under a number of instructors, including Laurent Mougeot (E3), Jan Kalinowski (G4), Waldemar Lonc (G5) and Shahram Ghorashi (G3). She graduated from the Civilian Instructor Course in 2025 at the age of 16, the youngest person to do so, and has chosen to focus on the kid’s program. Tessa loves that Krav Maga is a mix of a workout and practical skills, with a strong community.
In her personal life, Tessa attends high school in an English Literature program. She loves to write and read. Tessa also loves watching baseball and will swim virtually anywhere. She intends to continue Krav Maga for years to come.
