Saki joined Krav Maga Ottawa in 2022 through the Summer Crash Camp and completed her Civilian Instructor Course in the summer of 2025. Her interest in Krav Maga began after years of bike touring and backpacking across multiple countries, where she recognized the value of situational awareness while on the road.
Saki completed the Civilian Instructor Course (CIC) in 2025 with Head Instructor Laurent Mougeot (Expert 3). She has a special interest in teaching women and will be assisting with the Women Self-Defense program.
With over 15 years of teaching experience across diverse disciplines – including horseback riding, volleyball, engineering academics and group HIIT fitness classes while studying at the University of Guelph, Saki likes to bring a dynamic and fun approach to teaching.
Her primary focus in training is practical self-defense training for civilians and women. Outside of training, Saki enjoys biking, hiking and spending time with her horse, Porter, along with her other pets.
